Hugh Laurie is among the list of big names added to the voice cast of LittleBigPlanet 3.
The House actor, who was once appeared alongside the LittleBigPlanet series’ narrator Stephen Fry in the BBC show A Bit of Fry and Laurie, will reunite with his former comedy partner in the upcoming game.
Laurie, who will voice the game’s antagonist Newton, will also be joined by the likes of famed video game voiceover artist Nolan North, Shaun of the Dead‘s Peter Serafinowicz (who also provided the voice for Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode I, fact fans) Simon Greenal and Tara Strong.
Speaking of his role, Laurie described how providing voiceover work for a video game wasn’t as different to his day job as he had previously imagined. Unfortunately, no one ever told that to Peter Dinklage.
Laurie said of the game’s new villain Newton: “I appear to have played slightly dim characters for a lot of my career… people obviously look at my face or hear my voice and they think “Hmm, dim.””
LittleBigPlanet 3 is set to be released on the PS4 and PS3 in November. Watch the interview with Laurie below.
