Lorde’s contribution to her own Hunger Games curated soundtrack has been worked over by the one and only superegomaniac, Kanye West.
“Yellow Flicker Beat” just got a new interpretation by Kanye, remixing the single to diminish the strings and added some intense bridges and vocal distortion to make the track feel a lot more monstrous.
Speaking recently to Rolling Stone about putting the soundtrack together, Lorde was tight-lipped about how she and Ye worked together, after years of declaring their mutual admiration for each other. “He’s so private I feel weird talking about how he does stuff,” she told the publication. “I feel lucky to even be in a room with him.”
