Plex has just made its debut on PlayStation platforms in Europe and certain parts of Asia in one of the more surprising software debuts of 2014—no release date was previously announced.
Plex is a media player software service that allows you to host and stream many forms of media including movies, TV shows, and music on a range of devices. It organizes all of your content into one simple interface, allowing you to consume the media at the press of a button.
The PS4 and PS3 version of the software is nearly identical to the Xbox One version which arrived last month. Seen above, it’s clean and sophisticated.
In addition to its arrival in Europe and Asia, Plex has been confirmed for a North America PS4 and PS3 launch “soon”. No further details were announced.
