CES 2015: OhMiBod blueMotion NEX 1 – The Internet of Unmentionable Things

Here at CES 2015, the buzzword of the show is the Internet of Things — essentially a world where everything is connected to and controller over the Internet. However, music-controlled Sex toy manufacturer OhMiBod is taking this one step further, by making things buzz from over the Internet… in your partner’s panties.

The blueMotion NEX 1 is a bluetooth and wifi-enabled vibrator designed for couple’s play from afar. A free Android or iOS is necessary to control it’s functions over a 30 foot bluetooth range, or an in-app purchase of a $4.99 wifi upgrade is required for teasing virtually anywhere you can connect to the Internet. The app also allows users to send dirty talk and photos via a private chat letting their partner know that they want their engines revved.

Beyond sending simple vibrations to your loved one’s crotch, the app makes for a number of different ways to do so — from recording a series of morse code-esque taps to create your own custom stimulations, or rubbing the touchscreen to make the vibe mimic the same motion. It also lets you use your voice to send vibrations, even syncs to your music on Pandora, or — weirdest of all — will convert the bleeps and bloops of a sound-enabled game into sensual vibrations. This gives beating your high score a whole new meaning.

There are a couple downsides, though. The device powers down after 15 minutes of non-use to save on battery life, and the blue lace thong that comes with every vibe is a “one size fits most”, so make sure it’ll fit your girlfriend’s onion booty before presenting her with the blueMotion NEX 1 or risk getting slapped. Oh, and make sure she’s a freak in the first place, because this one is a little out there.

With one hour of battery life and easy USB charging, the OhMiBod blueMotion NEX 1 can go again and again with less refractory period than you can. Shit — she may not even need you anymore if she downloads the app herself!

You can score one from the OhMiBod store for $129.99. To see more gizmos and gadgets from the CES 2015 show floor, stay with CraveOnline and our live CES coverage.
