The ‘Ant-Man’ Trailer Premieres

Marvel Studios has finally released an actual teaser trailer for the upcoming superhero film Ant-Man. So… does it look any good? Does Ant-Man have the humor audiences are asking for, or does this new movie have something more serious on its mind? Do we want a serious Ant-Man movie? And why does it look like a generic 1990s thriller that just happens to have an Ant-Man in it?

‘Gambit’ Gets a Release Date

The upcoming Gambit movie starring Channing Tatum will be released on October 7, 2016. That’s… actually pretty quick, especially since X-Men: Apocalypse only comes out a few months earlier, on May 27, 2016. Is the superhero movie schedule getting too crowded? Or was it so overcrowded already that this barely qualifies as a news story? Aside from knowing when Gambit – a film that had already been announced as in development – is officially coming out, why is this kind of story even trending on social media?

Scarlett Johansson to Star in ‘Ghost in the Shell’

Scarlett Johansson is coming off a huge year, starring in two blockbusters and one of the most acclaimed indie films of 2014. The time has come to take on a new big budget franchise… so why did it have to be Ghost in the Shell? The acclaimed manga and anime franchise is about Japanese characters, so will moving the action to America ruin what made the story special? Or are the sci-fi themes relevant no matter where this new Ghost in the Shell takes place?
