Already boasting more than 60 acts and some incredible international guests, Bluesfest 2015 has dropped a sixth lineup announcement featuring another 12 artists.
Irish singer-songwriter Hozier and US alt rock outfit Switchfoot lead the latest list of lineup additions, joining notable guests The Black Keys, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals (Australian exclusive) and Lenny Kravitz in Byron Bay this April.
Also added to bill are The Waterboys, Hunter Hayes, Fly My Pretties, Music Maker Presents Super Chikan and Vasti Jackson, Diesel, Jeff Lang, Phil Wigging and Dom Turner, Watussi (final performances), Nikki Hill and the Rumjacks.
The 24-year-old Hozier’s self-titled debut album has featured in international top 10 charts since its September release and Bluesfest director Peter Noble is excited to be adding yet another round of prominent artists to the Easter long weekend (April 2-6) festival.
“I am so excited to be bringing to Bluesfest an artist I believe is truly important, and who is fast becoming someone who the music world will look to, both now and in the future for truly inspiring music,” Noble said of Hozier.
“To be presenting Hozier, Paolo Nutini AND Ben Howard at Bluesfest 2015 means we will have on our stages, truly the best emerging artist from Ireland, Scotland AND the UK right now at the one festival – it’s simply breathtaking.”
A host of Bluesfest sideshows were also announced on Tuesday, including a whopping 17-show stand by surf rock musician Donavon Frankenreiter and gigs by reggae act SOJA, JJ Grey & Mofro and Dispatch. Catch all the latest tour information at MusicFeeds.com.au.
