New Spider-Man Director, Age of Ultron & Community Trailers on Most Craved

If it’s Thursday, it must be Most Craved. Every week, your hosts William Bibbiani (CraveOnline), Silas Lesnick (ComingSoon) and Jenna Busch (Legion of Leia) show up to give you the rundown on all the biggest news stories in entertainment. They ask the big questions, give you the sometimes uncomfortable answers, and reveal once and for all what really matters in the otherwise cumbersome hype machine we call internet entertainment journalism. And this week is a whopper, with big new rumors, major industry deals and two earth-shattering trailers that have the whole web talking!

Has Spider-Man Found a New Director Already?

We all know that Spider-Man has moved back to Marvel, but who is going to direct the first film in the newly rebooted franchise? Rumors point to The Cabin in the Woods filmmaker Drew Goddard, who was previously set to direct Sony’s Sinister Six spin-off. But have journalists jumped the gun? Is Drew Goddard really a sure thing or just a safe bet? And would he be any good at the job?

The Russo Bros. Sign Up With Sony

Joe and Anthony Russo shot to the top of Hollywood’s most wanted filmmakers list after last year’s blockbuster Captain America: The Winter Soldier. But although they’re still rumored to be directing The Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2, they just signed a first look deal at Sony Pictures. That’s good for the Russo Brothers, and great for Sony, but what does it mean for you, the audience? Does it mean anything at all? Will the Russo Brothers have a shot at Spider-Man or does Spider-Man have nothing to do with this deal whatsoever?

The Latest ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Trailer Debuts

A new trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron debuts online, but so what? Is this new look at Joss Whedon’s latest really all that new, or is Marvel Studios just recycling pre-existing footage? And if so, what are they hiding? Do we really know anything about Marvel’s latest multi-hero crossover or is Ultron just a smokescreen for something much bigger, with the potential to change the MCU forever?

‘Community’ Returns with Avengers-Themed Trailer

Not to be outdone, Community has premiered a trailer of its own, parodying the first Avengers: Age of Ultron teaser. But what does all this new footage really tell us? Is Community going to change now that it’s on Yahoo, and not on television. And what the heck is a TV series doing on Yahoo anyway? And will Community finally reach its dream goal: six seasons and a movie?
