Microsoft has unveiled an Xbox One bundle of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, after the game was finally fixed last week following months of problems.
The bundle will include a 500GB Xbox One console, a downloadable copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. a wireless controller and headset, and a 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial for $349.99. After 343 Industries continued to struggle to make Halo: The Master Chief Collection playable post-launch, the developer finally managed to get the game on its feet last week following the release of an extensive patch that now means players are able to experience the game without any matchmaking problems or other irritating issues.

For Halo fans, this bundle may convince them to pick up the console before the release of Halo 5 later this year, with it proving to be a pretty great deal considering the Xbox One on its own typically retails from between $349 – $360. The Halo: The Master Chief Collection Xbox One bundle will be available in the US and in other select markets later this month. Alternatively, you can pre-order it from the Microsoft Store right here.
It seems likely that Microsoft have had this bundle up their sleeve for a while now, but have been waiting until the game was in a reasonable state, following its myriad launch problems, to release it. A patch released last week seems to have eradicated mostly all of the game’s issues, with fixes to matchmaking search/wait times and campaign stability being employed. If you’re willing to overlook any complaints you may have had about 343 and their handling of the Master Chief Collection, then this deal is certainly worth your time.
