Fresh from performing as part of Soundwave 2015, Aussie thrash merchants King Parrot have confirmed they will release a new album in May, which has been recorded with the help of former Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo.
King Parrot’s second full-length effort, which remains without an official title, was recorded by Anselmo at his Nodferatu’s Lair studio in New Orleans, and he seems to have clicked with the Melbourne band pretty darn well.
“King Parrot is not only a great live band, but they are as genuine and down to earth as it gets,” Anselmo says in a press release.
King Parrot are currently touring Europe, with plans to appear at SXSW and tour the US until-mid March, before coming back to their home city. The group’s next album will be the follow-up to their 2013 debut album Bite Your Head Off, and will be released in Australia through EVP Recordings.
