Metal Gear Solid V Graphics Comparison Shows Differences Between PS4, Xbox One and PC

Konami has released screenshots that compare Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain‘s graphics across all of the platforms that the game will be available on, also revealing the resolution and frame rate of each version of the game.

The publisher has revealed that the MGSV on the PS4 will run at 1080p while the MGSV Xbox One will run at 900p, with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game running at 720p and the PC inevitably topping the lot with 4K max settings of 3840×2160. In terms of frame rate, the Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions of the game come in at 60fps, while the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions trail behind at 30fps.

The screenshots pretty much reveal exactly what you’d expect – the PC version looks the best (though the screenshots were likely taken using a rig performing at max settings), while the differences between the PS4 and Xbox One versions are pretty negligible unless you’re the kind of person who is really into that mundane resolution debate. There’s no side-by-side comparison when it comes to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, and I can imagine that there will be some who will be disheartened by the news that the game will be running at 900p, but rest assured that it still looks like one of the best-looking games of this generation no matter what console you’re playing it on.
