No Escape opens in theaters on Wednesday, August 26th. The film follows an American family (the parents are played by Owen Wilson and Lake Bell), as they relocate to Southeast Asia only to encounter a violent political uprising. There is endless running from the two stars, hundreds of others, and, of course, plenty of intrigue.

Crave managed to track down the directors for an interview. Drew and John Erick Dowdle, friends of CraveOnline’s own The B-Movies Podcast, wax genial about the film’s political undertones, xenophobia, and throwing children off of a building. But, you know, in an exciting way. Indeed, one of them threw his own son off of a building. Yes, that really happened.
