In yet more embarrassing news for Manchester United, it is now being claimed that Real Madrid are reporting the Premier League club to UEFA over their handling over De Gea’s failed transfer.
Earlier it was reported that De Gea had been unable to sign for Real Madrid as the La Liga giants had not registered him with the LFA, though it had previously been suggested that Man U had held off on giving the deal the go-ahead until one minute before Spain’s transfer window closed. Now it is being suggested by Spanish TV host Pedro Pablo Parrado that Madrid are set to report Man U to UEFA, with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez allegedly describing the club’s behaviour as “unworthy of Manchester.”
The rough translation of a series of tweets sent out by Pedro in Spanish are as follows:
“Real Madrid will report to UEFA Manchester behavior. It will require a fee of 40 million euros, the same amount of the transaction. Florentino few minutes ago I am talking with De Gea to explain the behavior unworthy of Manchester.”
With the De Gea situation still ongoing and the rumoured £36 million poaching of 19-year-old Anthony Martial leaving the football world scratching its head, this has certainly been an eventful transfer deadline day for United and one that seems like it will feature even more drama as it continues.
