FX and FXX has an incredible line-up of epic dramas, thrillers, and hilarious comedies for its prime-time lineup this fall, including Kurt Sutter’s (Sons of Anarchy) new drama The Bastard Executioner.
Coming up on FX:
Tuesday, September 15th at 10pm is The Bastard Executioner. From emotional pitfalls to political upheavals, this 10-episode, blood-soaked season follows 14th Century warrior Wilkin Brattle (Lee Jones, Magical Tales) who lays down his sword and is forced to become a journeyman executioner. The show also stars Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy), who plays a mystical healer named Annora, and Stephen Moyer (True Blood) as the devious chamberlain, Milus Corbett.
American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Wednesday, October 7th at 10pm. Set in modern-day Los Angeles, Hotel chronicles the story of the mysterious characters that work and visit the haunted Hotel Cortez. Joining series regulars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett and Kathy Bates are singer-songwriter Lady Gaga, actor Max Greenfield (New Girl), and model and actress Naomi Campbell (Empire).
Rounding out the FX lineup is a new season of the investigative and thrilling anthological crime-drama Fargo, airing Mondays at 10pm beginning October 12th. With an all-new cast – including Ted Danson (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring), Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man), Jesse Plemons (Battleship), and Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) – Season 2 tracks a true crime case in 1979 Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Luverne, Minnesota.
And on FXX:
FXX kicks off its fall lineup with the final season fantasy football hit The League, airing Wednesdays at 10pm beginning September 9th. This clever comedy follows friends Kevin (Stephen Rannazzisi), Ruxin (Nick Kroll), Pete (Mark Duplass), Taco (Jon Lajoie), and Andre (Paul Scheer) as they compete in a fantasy football league and pull pranks on each other for the last time in order to win the league trophy.
Immediately following The League, Season 2 of You’re the Worst premieres Wednesday, September 9th at 10:30pm. Fall head over heels with the dark and twisted romantic-comedy that follows Jimmy Shive-Overly (Chris Geere) and Gretchen Cutler (Aya Cash) as they learn how to live with each other when they can barely live with themselves.
