Zombies continue to reign supreme in the genre world and Space dives deep into the post-apocalyptic foray with the Season 2 premiere of Z Nation.
The 15-episode, one-hour season continues to follow a group of ordinary citizens tasked with transporting the only known human to have been bitten and not succumb to a zombie plague across the United States, in hope of finding a cure. The Season 2 premiere picks up where Season 1 left off, moments after the launch of the tactical nuclear weapons triggered by Murphy (Keith Allan, Zombie Night). This season, it’s every person for themselves.
Season 1 of Z Nation helped make Space the top entertainment specialty network in the Friday at 10pm timeslot for total viewers as well as A25-54 and 18-49. As well, the series is a Top 10 program on Space this BYTD for A25-54 and A18-49. Viewers who missed out on Season 1 can catch-up on the gore-fest with an all-day Z Nation marathon, Friday, September 4th beginning at 11am.
In the Season 2 premiere of Z Nation, “The Murphy” (Friday September 11th at 10pm), the heroes split up as they try to outrun the impending blast. Citizen Z (DJ Qualls, Perception) finds himself battling thawed zombies and unable to communicate with the team. In a desperate attempt to help them out on their quest to get to California and the CDC, Citizen Z issues an on air bounty for Murphy. Suddenly everyone wants a piece of the Murphy, including a mysterious and deadly bounty hunter, Vasquez (Matt Cedeño, Devious Maids).
