Every now and again you see a photo on the Internet that has the magical ability to immediately brighten up your day.
This is the impact that this image of Miss Bikini Ireland contestant Sarah Greenwood walking through Dublin’s Harcourt Street had upon me. It’s truly got everything – an attractive woman, someone falling to the ground. The only thing it’s missing is a cat peering into the frame, or else it’d basically be the Internet summarized in one photograph.
The photo was taken in order to support Breast Cancer Awareness month, with 32 Miss Bikini Ireland contestants roaming the streets of Ireland in their smalls. And though I’m a happier man for having seen the photo, the logistics of this competition have confused me. A Miss Bikini contest… in Ireland? Isn’t Ireland, like, really fuckin’ cold? Too cold to adequately stage a bikini contest without leading to one of the contestants coming down with a nasty case of the flu, no doubt.
Nonetheless, without the implausible Miss Bikini Ireland competition this photo wouldn’t exist, so I’m glad that it does and I just hope that the cyclist is okay following their fall, and that the model did not catch hypothermia.
