The 2015 Monster Energy Aftershock Festival was a screaming success last weekend as nearly 50,000 rock fans descended on Sacramento, California for a wild ride with Faith No More, Jane’s Addiction, Slipknot and Sacramento’s own Deftones, among many others. Also included in this year’s event was the WWE NXT wrestling showcase, in which Corey Taylor of Slipknot exchanged some fiery words with WWE wrestler Baron Corbin before throwing a right hook at the massive athlete – and connecting with force.
After a longstanding war of words prior to the event, Corey was in-house for the NXT event, and sat front row at the match between Corbin and Samoa Joe prior to Slipknot’s crushing headliner set on Saturday. After Corbin laid into Taylor and poked him hard in the chest, the frontman unwound on him:

Open fist, closed fist, who cares? This kind of high-drama action entertainment is far more exciting than the latest shitty rapper beef. The move was clearly appreciated by Samoa Joe, who ultimately won the match:
