The official trailer for the upcoming Zoolander 2 has arrived, with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson reprising their roles as himbo dumbass male supermodels Derek Zoolander and Hansel McDonald. Generally the thing looks like a comedy from fifteen years ago, so caring about the film is hard to do – with one exception: the death of Bieber.
In the new trailer, Stiller and Wilson have jumped the proverbial fashion shark and their world has left them behind. But they are recruited by Interpol agent Penelope Cruz to help discover who is trying to kill the world’s most beautiful people… yawn.
One of the targets, however, is Justin Bieber – along with Usher and Demi Lovato. All three are murdered while flashing Zoolander’s signature “Blue Steel” look, for reasons I’m sure will become clear once you drop eighteen bucks on a movie ticket. No thanks. But with the current reskinning of Bieber as a “legitimate” artist, a little perspective is always welcome:
Kristin Wiig, Fred Armisen, Olivia Munn, Willie Nelson and Will Ferrell will also star in Zoolander 2, scheduled to hit theaters on February 12th.
