Sinead O’Connor Reportedly Receiving Medical Assistance After Facebook “Suicide Note”

Sinead O’Connor is said to be receiving medical assistance after reportedly overdosing, after the singer posted a lengthy Facebook update to her official page that was seemingly intended to be her suicide note.

The singer, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, published a post on the social network (that has since been deleted) revealing that the cause of her anguish was her family having allegedly abandoned her following her hysterectomy in August. “Apparently I’m scum and deserve to be abandoned and treated like shitt even when I’ve had my womb and ovaries chopped out and my child is frighteningly sick,” O’Connor wrote. “I’m such a rotten horrible mother and Person, that I’ve been alone. Howling for weeks.

“And I’ve been told by them all t[o] go f–k myself. I’m invisible. No one has come near me.”

The post concluded: “Well done guys, you’ve finally got rid of me. Sorry the penny didn’t drop sooner. I’m an idiot.

“Everyone is better off. Never ever do this to a woman again.”

Police at Pearse St station have now confirmed that O’Connor is “safe and sound,” according to breakingnews.ie, and that she is being treated by medical professionals.

Bipolar disorder affects roughly 1 in 100 adults in the UK, according to NHS findings, with symptoms of the disorder being mood swings, depression and mania, with symptoms varying upon which mood swing the individual is experiencing. You can learn more about the disorder here.
