NBC’s Hannibal may be gone, but the upcoming season 3 DVD set still has at least one more dish to serve.
The first half of Hannibal’s final season found the title character, Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) living in Europe under an assumed identity as Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) pursued Hannibal with twisted intent to both forgive and perhaps murder his friend. Hannibal also came to the conclusion that the only way to forgive Will’s transgressions was to eat him…and he came close to doing it!
But what they didn’t plan on was Mason Verger (Joe Anderson), the insane millionaire whom Hannibal drugged into mutilating himself. Verger’s men captured both Hannibal and Will, and he planned to steal Will’s face for himself before eating Hannibal.
In this deleted scene from Hannibal Season 3 (which debuted at our sister site, ComingSoon.net), Will finds himself being prepped for surgery by the sadistic Dr. Cordell Doemling (Glenn Fleshler), as he gleefully explains just what’s in store for Will.

While there are currently no concrete plans for a continuation of Hannibal, showrunner and executive producer Bryan Fuller, Dancy, and Mikkelsen have expressed a desire to potentially revisit this world. Who knows? Perhaps one day, they’ll return for another round of mayhem and beautifully depicted murder.
The Hannibal Season 3 DVD set contains all 13 episodes, and it includes additional deleted scenes, a gag reel, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and a few episode commentary tracks that were recorded by the cast and crew.
Fans will be able to purchase Hannibal Season 3 in stores everywhere on Tuesday, December 8. Until then, bon appétit’!
