“Alice Through the Looking Glass” Drop New Trailers Featuring Alan Rickman In His Final Role

Audiences across the globe will soon be able to see Alan Rickman’s final movie role come to life in Tim Burton’s Alice Through the Looking Glass, after the actor passed away earlier this year from cancer, aged 69.

Disney granted us with two trailers overnight to tease the movie’s release later this year, both of which feature Rickman’s Snape-esque, eerie and all-soothing voice as the story’s Blue Caterpillar. “You’ve been gone too long, Alice,” Rickman says to kick off the time-centric clips. “There are matters which cannot be neglected,” he continues. Ah, the suspense.

Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Rhys Ifans and Sacha Baron Cohen are also cast alongside Rickman in the film, which is a follow up to Burton’s 2010 release of Alice In Wonderland, based on the outlandish characters of Lewis Caroll’s famed book. The sequel sees Alice – played by Australia’s own Wasikowska – travel back in time to the magical world of Underland to save the Mad Hatter.

Watch both of the trailers for yourself below, and hang out for the film’s release on May 27 in the US and July 14 in Australia. We have no doubt that Rickman will nail it, just like all his other unforgettable roles
