The Comedy Network Locks Down Canadian Exclusive Premiere Of Angie Tribeca

This March, The Comedy Network is arresting audiences with laughter in the series premiere of procedural comedy Angie Tribeca. Created by Nancy Carell and Steve Carell (40-Year-Old Virgin), and starring Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreation) as lone-wolf LAPD Detective Angie Tribeca, Angie Tribeca follows a squad of LAPD detectives who investigate the most serious cases – from the murder of a ventriloquist to a rash of baker suicides.

The 10-episode, half-hour comedy trails 10-year veteran detective Angie Tribeca (Jones) who’s paired with an unwanted partner, J Geils (Hayes MacArthur, Life As We Know It). The series also stars Jere Burns (Justified) as Lt. Chet Atkins, Angie’s unconventional boss; Deon Cole (Black-ish) as DJ Tanner, a detective who works in the K-9 unit, and Andrée  Vermeulen (New Girl) as Dr. Monica Scholls, the quirky medical examiner. Guest stars this season include Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2), Lisa Kudrow (Friends), and Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation).

In the series premiere of Angie Tribeca, the mayor is being blackmailed and the lieutenant is just sick about it. Angie Tribeca is assigned a new partner, J Geils (MacArthur), to find the blackmailer and bring him to justice. The only problem is that Tribeca (Jones) works alone.

Angie Tribeca debuts on Tuesday, March 1st at 10:30pm.
