Watch Two Clips From History’s Great Minds With Dan Harmon

Last night, History made history…well, perhaps that’s not entirely accurate. Instead, History launched a new late night comedy block called Night Class and debuted the new series, Great Minds with Dan Harmon.

Harmon is the co-creator of Rick and Morty on Adult Swim and the creator of the much beloved Community, which had a six season run, but no movie as of yet. Harmon created Great Minds with Dan Harmon, and he stars as a fictionalized version of himself who has created a time machine to bring the brightest individuals in history to the present.

Ludwig van Beethoven, as played by Jack Black, was Harmon’s first guest. History has released two clips from the first episode of Great Minds with Dan Harmon. In the first video, the formerly deaf Beethoven hears his Moonlight Sonata for the very first time.

And in the second clip, Beethoven is less than impressed with the music of Phil Collins, a personal favorite musician of Harmon’s.

Great Minds with Dan Harmon will return to History on Thursday, March 3, with 30 Rock’s Scott Adsit stepping into the role of one of America’s greatest writers: Ernest Hemingway!
