Just when you think the Lakers couldn’t be even more of a dumpster fire, comes news the team is shunning rookie point guard D’Angelo Russell after he secretly recorded teammate Nick Young.
The audio hit the internet about a week ago but has just gained traction over the weekend. In the video, Russell is secretly recording Young, who talks about the women he’s cheated on his fiancee, Iggy Azalea, with.
It’s also likely the reason the Lakers looked like zombies Monday night, taking their worst loss in franchise history, losing by 48 points, a game which Young wasn’t part of.

And since the shenanigans, the entire team is reportedly freezing Russell out.
The emergence of the video, sources said, has been the talk of the locker room for the past several days and has led to a tangible strain between Russell and some teammates.
At a recent breakfast meeting, one source said, no Laker would sit with Russell at his table. The source added that, in another instance, Russell came into the locker room and sat next to guard Lou Williams, who got up and walked away.
It will be interesting to see if Kobe chimes in some how or if management decides to trade Russell, who has an incredibly high ceiling among point guards. Don’t put anything past the Lakers these days.
