Skyrocketing EDM sensation Ghastly leans hard into his blends of house, trap, and dubstep on originals and wild collaborations, such as his original “Miami Connection” with Jauz and single “Crank It” with Mija & Lil Jon. Now he’s touring the country, and is getting ready to drop a new singles series on Skrillex’s OWSLA.
Ghastly’s last original single on Diplo’s Mad Decent label was “Get On This,” a crusher which has reached nearly a million plays on SoundCloud. Today, Crave is proud to premiere a new approach to the track from the producer, who teamed with a fellow producer and fan named Ablaze on a new bonecrushing-bass collaborative mix called “Get On This” (Ghastly X Ablaze VIP):
The Arizona native, born David Lee Crow, grew up playing in metal bands, waiting tables and working odd jobs to support his dream, expanding his musical palette while exploring his beatmaking abilities. The guy believed in his craft enough to leave his entire world behind and move to Venice Beach, CA with no connections or opportunities upon arrival, living in a van while plotting his next move. It didn’t take long for him to make an impact on the scene, locking a position as Bassrush Resident DJ at Exchange LA, before cutting his pro-spinner teeth on chart-topping labels such as OWSLA, Buygore, and Dim Mak to name a few. After a surreal encounter with Skrillex in the desert for Burning Man, Ghastly has hit a slipstream of success and positivity.
We can’t wait to see where he heads next.
