The Culper ring is on the ropes in the latest episode of AMC’s Turn: Washington’s Spies!
In last week’s episode, Abe Woodhull (Jamie Bell), Caleb Brewster (Daniel Henshall), Anna Strong (Heather Lind), and Robert Townsend (Nick Westrate) had a very uncomfortable encounter with the renegade Robert Rogers (Angus Macfadyen). At the same time, Captain Simcoe (Samuel Roukin) relentlessly pursued Rogers. But even though Rogers managed to escape, the problems aren’t over for Abe. Members of his spy ring now seem to openly distrust him.
CraveOnline has an extended preview clip from tonight’s episode that finds Abe and his wife, Mary (Meegan Warner) making plans to retrieve their son from Abe’s estranged father Judge Woodhull (Kevin R. McNally) when Simcoe arrives with proof that Abe has been less than honest with him. Has Simcoe finally managed to catch Abe in a lie that he can’t talk his way out of?
Meanwhile, in the Benedict Arnold storyline, Arnold (Owain Yeoman) finally got his face-to-face meeting with his friend and mentor General George Washington (Ian Kahn), but that only bought Arnold an expedited court-martial! Considering that Arnold is already sharing intelligence with the British, America’s most famous traitor is edging ever closer to the point of no return.
AMC has also released the description of the next episode of Turn: Washington’s Spies:
“Mary tries to kill Simcoe on her own. Benedict Arnold defends himself in his court-martial. Ben reunites with the woman who save.”
The new episode of Turn: Washington’s Spies debuts Monday, June 6 at 10pm PST and EST on AMC.
