Never let it be said that General Benedict Arnold (Owain Yeoman) wasn’t a great orator! Last week’s episode of Turn: Washington’s Spies illustrated that to full effect.
At his court-marshal before his fellow revolutionary generals, Arnold delivered the speech of his life as he reaffirmed his loyalties to the breakaway colonies and reclaimed his good name…only to come away with little of the redemption or compensation that he was hoping for. Unfortunately, Arnold had already begun negotiating with the British before his trial, and now the seeds of his inevitable treachery are only growing.
In CraveOnline’s exclusive preview from tonight’s episode of Turn: Washington’s Spies, Arnold’s latest correspondence with the British has immediate consequences, as he inadvertently gives away more intelligence than he intended.
As for the Culper Ring, Abe (Jamie Bell) and his group of spies have been all but disbanded. However, they have more pressing issues with Robert Rogers (Angus Macfadyen) and Captain Simcoe (Samuel Roukin). Mary (Meegan Warner) even made an attempt to solve their problem herself and narrowly escaped detection.
AMC has also released the description of the next episode of Turn: Washington’s Spies, and it offers some hope for the Culper Ring.
“The Culper Ring is resurrected in time to save Washington’s army. Simcoe terrorizes Setauket as he hunts for Rogers. Anna infiltrates New York.”
The new episode of Turn: Washington’s Spies debuts Monday, June 13 at 10pm PST and EST on AMC.
