Buffalo Wild Wings Server Denied Tip For Exposed Gay Pride Tattoo

The times they are a-changin’…at least for some people. Sadly, there are still folks out there who simply can’t accept an individual for who they are and just move on with their day. Well, at least without making it a point to ruin said other person’s first.

A general rule of thumb that I live by — and would hope most people do as well — is to always tip my server. Always. Even if they do a “bad” job according to your own personal standards, that’s no excuse to deny them the very income they are working their butts off to collect. So it’s especially troubling that a Buffalo Wild Wings waitress in my home state of Illinois was denied her gratuity not because she did a poor job, but because she openly displayed her pride with a rainbow equal sign tattoo on her arm.

Oh, sorry, make that “tatoo.”

As you can see from the tweet above, a customer and their family were more than happy to allow Samantha Heaton to continue bringing them food to shovel into their faces throughout the course of their meal, but once the bill came due, it was time for Jesus to give her a piece of his mind. Because if anyone should speak for the Savior of an entire religion, it’s some a-hole patron at BDubs. For those who can’t read the chicken scratch handwriting, it reads “Can’t tip someone who doesn’t love Jesus! Bad tatoo.” And yes, that’s how this human turd thinks the word “tattoo” is spelled.

Sadly, Samantha is far from a bad server. In fact, when interviewed about the incident by the The Rock River Times, she said, “I went above and beyond for this couple, and for them to leave that [note] kind of hurt.” She went on to say, “Like, I have bills to pay, too.”

But at the end of the day, Emily gets the last laugh for having such ignorance posted online for the world to see (and hopefully learn from). And this is the internet, so that’s sure to happen, right?
