It’s very rare for you to be super eager and excited to hang out in an office with your boss nearby all day, but the majority of us don’t go out of our way to injure our boss or our coworkers. Then again, Mayda Rivera Juarez did.

The 33-year-old woman was recently sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison after it was discovered that she actually poured Windex into her office coffee machine in the hopes of poisoning her co-workers and make them sick.

NY Daily News

A handful of Rivera Juarez’s colleagues at Sterling’s JAS Forwarding Worldwide in 2016 began suffering from stomach pain, nausea and vomiting, according to the news station. One of her co-worker’s soon realized everyone affected drank coffee from the office coffee maker, prompting their supervisor to review office surveillance video.

The footage showed Rivera Juarez dumping the contents of a Windex bottle into the water reservoir of the break room coffee machine and she later admitted to doing so, according to the Loudoun County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.

Juarez was quick to admit her evil deeds to police as she also told them that she squirted Ajax dish soap directly into her boss’ coffee cup as well as the maker with the hopes of getting her sick.

Juarez was fired on the spot and then she pleaded guilty for adulteration of food with intent to injure or kill. Once she’s released from prison she will face another three years of supervised probation. In conclusion, what a waste of good cleaning products.
