Easter is a time for chocolate eggs and ruining childhoods . If these photos are any indication, the tradition of pairing frightening bunnies with reluctant children goes back centuries.
Gaze in horror at the ways mankind has morphed the harmless bunny into grotesque creatures best left alone. Plus, these poor kids look like they’ve been completely traumatized. Maybe someday we’ll learn, but until then, here are the photos.

Scary Bunnies
Bunny Coming For You
The gaze of this Easter bunny looks as if it wants to climb through the picture and eat your soul.
Big Bun
Sure, Easter bunnies are cute and fluffy, but how about one bigger than you that also appears to be losing half its fur? Cool? Cool.
Alien
Why is one of the bunny's eyes completely black while the other isn't? Why do its ears bend together like antennas? Has this person ever seen a real rabbit?
Jealous Bunny
At first, this seems happy. The poor kid seems unaware that the bunny is never going to let him go. Never. Not ever.
No Soul
This creature looks like a remorseless, soulless egg-laying machine. It will never stop hunting. Never stop chasing. Who knows how many children it's gone through.
Realism
Somehow, a realistic Easter bunny is just downright terrifying. Something about a huge rabbit head turns it threatening in a hurry.
Don't Cry
The rabbit's smile looks more like a sneer as it watches the poor girl crying. Almost as if they know it'll do no good...
Here Furever
The two rabbits have their prey surrounded in a vice grip. Those eyes show they have no use for mercy.
Bring the Fish
An almost life-like rubber mask combined with the corpse of some kind of (possibly stuffed) fish is the stuff of Lovecraftian nightmares.
Questions
Why do Easter Bunnies need curly black mustaches, and why did the bunny kidnap a girl from what was clearly a Christmas party?
Better Left Unsaid
Who knows what's in that mouth. The child sitting on the bunny's lap seems to be planning to make a break for it. We hope he made it.
Too Late
Those massive teeth and grin say that if the child is already in its arms, it's too late. This bunny's already won.
Anything But This
The creature's tight grip on the child as he desperately reaches for someone...anyone, to take him to safety is heartbreaking.
Red Eye
Perhaps it's the flash of a camera, or perhaps it's a monster's red eyes burning with a hatred of a million Easters. Who's to say.
Round Two
The child's frantic attempt at escape combined with the bunny's almost sorry grin leads to some grim conclusions about what Easter's really about.
Those Teeth
This would just be a weird bunny costume if the person hadn't sought out those gigantic teeth to call their own.
Not Fooled
While one child sits unknowingly in harm's way, the other isn't fooled for a second and is frantically trying to run from what they see as a very clear threat. We aren't arguing.
What Wide Mouth
What a wide mouth that rabbit has. Very wide indeed. Seems pretty unnecessary for something that claims to only eat grass.
Family
Why do these bunnies seem hell-bent on taking these children?
Demon
The half-cocked red eyes and giant pink bowtie showcase a monster. Perhaps the original Easter Bunny?
