If you ever wanted to know what the definition of “tone deaf” looks like, have we got a story for you. It all starts in Manitoba, Canada, where a cabinet minister named Jon Reyes filmed his wife, a healthcare worker, shoveling outside their home, then posted the video on Twitter.
Even after a 12 hour night shift at the hospital last night, my wife still has the energy to shovel the driveway. God bless her and all our frontliners. Time to make her some breakfast. pic.twitter.com/91vahySLqO

“Even after a 12 hour night shift at the hospital last night, my wife still has the energy to shovel the driveway. God bless her and all our frontliners,” the politician captioned the vid. “Time to make her some breakfast.”
Sounds innocent enough, right? Except dude forgot to read the room. It was a nippy -2 degrees that morning in Winnipeg, and one has to wonder why the hell Reyes wasn’t out there shoveling with her – or better yet, paid a plow service to remove the snow.
He’ll be lucky if his marriage survives this because the next thing she digs will likely be his grave.
But don’t worry, because Twitter gave him plenty of hell. Watch ‘em take the politico to task – and laugh it up, because his wife sure isn’t.

I don’t know what’s worse.
Her having to do this with you inside.
Her having to do this after a 12 hr shift
Her doing this while you watch.
Her doing this while you cook eggs over easyI think you taking a pic and posting all of the above is worst. Yea. That takes the cake

Having done nights I can guarantee after a 12 hr night shift she does not have the energy to shovel the driveway. She is doing it because it has not been done.

Even after a 12 hour night shift at the hospital last night, my wife still has the energy to bring home a load of wood to cook dinner.
Still, I got to open the way for her. Having a smoke trying not to get annoyed. pic.twitter.com/LRqJjpVYqF

My wife just finished an 19 hour shift at the ER and now she bought some beer for me and the guys. She carried it to the car in the rain too (I drove)! I’m gonna make her a smoothie. I’m so proud of her. pic.twitter.com/cZSerfjtk9

She only did it because you didn’t do it in her absence. I’m sure she was right pissed rolling up to the house after a 12hr day seeing it was not done. Decided to rage shovel. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say she was too exhausted to eat your breakfast and went straight to bed
