The Netflix Is a Joke Festival is really giving folks their money’s worth this year, as a star-studded cast of A-list comedians, including the legend himself, Dave Chappelle, hit the stage of the Hollywood Bowl. What fans did not anticipate is the quicker-than-usual Hollywood sequel to Will Smith’s Oscar slap with Chris Rock.
The 23-year-old man, reportedly Isaiah Lee, rushed the stage and sacked Chappelle during his standup performance with a “gun-shaped” knife then took off. He was then tackled by multiple security guards (and reportedly, Jamie Foxx and Busta Rhymes) who tuned the young attacker up pretty good, breaking his arm in a fun, new direction. He was then arrested and loaded into an ambulance — pretty eventful Tuesday night overall — and will await being shredded by the king of comedy in his next Netflix special.
But Chappelle wasted zero time in making a trans joke. Surely, the Netflix staff enjoyed that one.
Below is some poor-resolution footage of the attack itself — buy better seats next time, man! — including the Johnny-on-the-spot joke by Chris Rock asking, “Was that Will Smith?” to the 20,000-capacity venue following the attack. And further below that, you’ll find another round of our classic funniest tweet reactions thanks to the ingeniously creative folks of Twitter.

Chappelle was performing way too close to Netflix's employees. He knew the risks.

This man got stomped out by Jamie Foxx, Dave Chappelle and Busta Rhymes and Security. For some reason i think Busta's stomps would be particularly vicious.
