‘Game of Thrones’ Season 2 Trailer

“I understand the way this game is played.” – Tyrion Lannister

On April 1, “Game of Thrones” will return for its highly anticipated second season on HBO.

This season, the storyline will be based upon “A Clash of Kings,” the second novel in George R. R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” series. And with the premiere just over two months away, HBO has unleashed the first full trailer for “Game of Thrones” season 2.

In the trailer, we get a hint of things to come as Lord Varys aka The Spider (Conleth Hill) speaks at length with the new Hand of the King, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) threatens Sansa (Sophie Turner) over the actions of her brother, Robb Stark (Richard Madden), Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley) confronts Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish (Aidan Gillen) over the death of her husband, Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) gets a harsh lesson in ruling the kingdom and Daenerys Stormborn (Emilia Clarke) demands what is hers.

The upcoming battle Is not just between Joffrey and Robb. Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane), Renly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony) and Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide) will each lay their claims to the Iron Throne of Westros in the conflict that will come to be known as the War of Five Kings.

And somewhere beyond the Wall, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and the Night’s Watch search for answers about a mysterious threat that may prove to be more dangerous to the seven kingdoms than any would-be kings…

Don’t miss the return of “Game of Thrones,” April 1, only on HBO!
