Are We There Yet? – Nudist Travel?!

I received a press release recently that amused me… it was about a new nudist destination in France – Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park, which has partnered with a member travel agent to offer a group trip to one of the birthplaces of naturism in France: the CHM Montalivet.

Now I’ve been to a number of places in the world where nudist beaches are an option (and have politely decided to leave my clothes on). But it made me wonder if people are brave enough to get into their birthday suits and flaunt what God gave them.

As the release explained: “The trip will give naturists in North America a chance to experience European naturism as well as French culture. The organized group trip also means that it becomes an affordable vacation that is suitable for the whole family. The oldest naturist vacation resort in France is the Centre Helio Marin Montalivet, best known as the CHM Montalivet, on the Atlantic coast near Bordeaux. With over 3,000 sites (tent, RV, cabins, and bungalows) on nearly 500 acres and as many as 15,000 people per day, Montalivet is certainly one of the largest and busiest naturist resort in the world. The shopping centre at the heart of the resort features 22 shops and restaurants. As a result, you can spend your entire stay clothing-free. But optional (clothed) visits to vineyards, castles and other area attractions will also be possible. While the modern naturist movement is generally accepted to have started in Germany, it was France that perfected the large scale naturist resort. The combination of the warm climate of southern France, the fine sand beaches on the ocean, and the French passion for vacationing naturally combined to create massive naturist resorts.”

Would you dare?

Bon Voyage,

Jenn
