If you don’t want to know anything about The Amazing Spider-Man 2 or Gwen Stacy … stop reading now. Okay, we both knew you weren’t going to stop reading. Anyway, new photos of Emma Stone’s character Gwen Stacy from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 may say a lot about the plot of the Webspinner’s next film.
Crave’s MovieWeb site posted the photos Monday. If you compare Stone’s costume with the cover of Amazing Spider-Man 121 (see below) you might see some revealing similarities. (Last chance to look away! Okay, you’ve been warned.)
Stone’s green coat and short purple dress look strikingly similar to the one Gwen Stacy wore when she fell to her death from the George Washington Bridge. in fact, the set where the photos were taken was on a New York bridge.
Director Marc Webb, who helmed The Amazing Spider-Man, hasn’t revealed much about the plot for the sequel. Will he retcon Gwen Stacy’s death to have Spidey save the day? Is this Emma Stone’s last Spider-Movie? We will all find out May 2, 2014 when The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in North America.
