Back in 2010, AMC unveiled the first extended footage from “The Walking Dead” at San Diego Comic-Con International. Based upon the comic book series created by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore, “The Walking Dead” has since gone on to become one of the most watched shows on television.
For the fourth year in a row, AMC will be presenting a “Walking Dead’ panel at Comic-Con, with cast members Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, David Morrissey, Chad Coleman and Scott Wilson slated to appear. Kirkman will also be on hand with his fellow executive producers, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert and Greg Nicotero.
The panel will take place on Friday, July 19, with a specific time and location to be announced later.
In the meantime, AMC has released the first promo poster from “The Walking Dead” Season 4; which features Lincoln, Reedus, Gurira and Coleman as Rick, Daryl, Michonne and Tyreese, respectively. Tyreese’s inclusion may be a sign that he has a much larger role to play in Season 4. Coleman was also upped to a series regular for the upcoming season.
Additionally, AMC will be running a marathon event for “The Walking Dead” Season 4 starting this Thursday, July 4 at 1 p.m. Kevin Smith will hosting the preview event from the set of “The Walking Dead” alongside various cast members as every episode from the first three seasons are rebroadcast through Sunday, July 7.
“The Walking Dead” Season 4 will premiere in October.
