‘Axe Cop’ Gets An Early Debut on Fox

The long awaited debut of Fox’s Animation Domination High-Def Saturday night programming block is coming during the last weekend of this month. But “Axe Cop” will be showing up sooner than expected.

Fox has announced that both “Axe Cop” and “High School USA!” will premiere on Sunday, July 21 at 9:30pm and 9:45pm, respectively. Both shows are among the Animation Domination High-Def lineup and will be approximately 15 minutes per episode.

On Saturday, July 27, “Axe Cop” and “High School USA!” will return with new episodes starting at 11pm, with encore presentations at 11:30pm and a repeat of “The Cleveland Show” at midnight.

Fox has also released the descriptions of the first two episodes of “Axe Cop.”

“Night Mission: Stealing Friends Back”

Badass crime fighter AXE COP heads out on a special night mission with the help of his partner, FLUTE COP (Ken Marino), and sidekicks GREY DIAMOND (guest voice Rob Heubel), ARMY CHIHUAHUA (guest voice Giancarlo Esposito) and LIBORG (guest voice Tyler, the Creator), when fellow superhero BAT WARTHOG MAN’s (guest voice Vincent Kartheiser) friends go missing.

“Zombie Island…In Space”

The daughter (guest voice Megan Mullally) of a British scientist asks badass crime fighter AXE COP and partner FLUTE COP (Ken Marino) to find her kidnapped father, leading the superheroes to travel to Zombie Island (the planet!) to help save the Queen of England.

Nick Offerman (“Parks and Recreation”) voices the title character of “Axe Cop,” which will run for six episodes in its first season.
