The Last of Us is already a Game of the Year contender — now, it has sold 3.4 million copies, becoming the fastest selling game in the history of the PlayStation 3. (Does that make it good or bad that this is the end of the PS3 era?)
Sony Worldwide Studios chief Shuhei Yoshida called the mark an “undisputed demonstration” of the vision at Naughty Dog, which designed the game. Crave’s sister site Destructoid reported the news Tuesday following another bump in Sony’s stock to $21.81 a share, up from $11.46 a share at the beginning of the year.
