April 9, 2005 is essentially the UFC’s birthday. On that day, Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar put on one of the most exciting, and according to UFC President Dana White, “the most important fight in the history of this company.”
In the video, Bonnar and Griffin are officially inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Additionally, Dana White talks about how important Bonnar vs. Griffin on The Ultimate Fighter 1 finale was, as well as defending Bonnar’s induction, which some have criticized.
Speaking of Bonnar, he talks at length about his road to the UFC as well as the moment he realized MMA was a legitimate sport.
