Everyone’s favorite serial killer in a hockey mask is all set to return to theaters on Friday the 13th of November in 2015, but this time… he’s bringing a whole new dimension with him. Or rather, he’s bringing the dimension he originally brought with him in 1982’s Friday the 13th Part III. That’s right… Jason Voorhees is back, in 3D.
News of the third dimension came from Hollywood Reporter‘s report from CineEurope (and not, curiously enough, from Hollywood) in which the afterthought announcement of the latest Friday the 13th arriving in 3D just sort of slipped under the radar until Shock Till You Drop took notice.

This raises the question, of course, of whether the new Friday the 13th – under director David Bruckner (V/H/S) – will still continue as a found footage horror movie, or whether Paramount will decide that shakycam and 3D glasses would give audiences the wrong kind of stomach churn.
The only other serious question that remains is: will they call this 13th Friday the 13th movie Friday the 13D, or Friday the 13Dth?
