When you are at the front of two legendary franchises, almost any rumor is blown to galactic proportion. Crave’s /Film website reported Monday J.J. Abrams production company Bad Robot is talking to Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz, who helped write Thor and X-Men: First Class, about writing Star Trek 3 with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
This news is now complicated by a rumor that Abrams, who is in pre-production for Star Wars Episode VII, may now leave that movie.
Okay, this is a lot to take in. Especially with the public excitement surrounding Abrams’ leadership of the future for Star Wars and Star Trek.
The fact that Paramount has, as yet, not hired a director for Star Trek 3 is only adding fuel to the fire of these rumors.
Crave will follow all of these developments as they happen. (And yes, we’re as nervous as you are.)
