Scott Frank co-wrote The Wolverine and wrote Minority Report — and now, he’s taking on something he’s never done before: an adaptation of a video game.
Frank was hired by 20th Century Fox to rewrite the script for an Assassin’s Creed movie. Crave’s DigitalSpy reported Thursday Fox also pushed back the movie’s release date from May 22 to June 19, 2015.
Don’t look now, but video game movies may be the next “big” wave of geek culture to hit the mainstream following the superhero films. Watch Dogs and Far Cry are rumored to also have scripts in the works.
