Halloween is quickly approaching and that means it's time for us to spend some quality time with our friends at Universal Studios Hollywood preparing for Halloween Horror Nights 2013! Personally, this is one of my favorite events to cover all year long. The way that the creators over at USH can take a beloved horror title and turn it into an immersive, life-like experience is truly amazing and I always love every minute of the experience.
This year the twisted mind of John Murdy and his team of creators and Scare-actors are taking on some awesome titles including Evil Dead, Insidious, Black Sabbath's 13 and a world of The Walking Dead that is bigger and better than ever.
We had a chance to go behind-the-scenes with Larry Bones and his team of make up artists to see what goes into creating the gruesome Scare-actors for Halloween Horror Nights 2013.

Halloween Horror Nights kicks off on Friday, September 20, 2013 and continues on 21 select nights through Saturday, November 2, 2013. Event dates are: September 20, 21, 27 and 28, October 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 31 and November 1 and 2.
