As most of us Halo fiends know, at E3 this year Microsoft and 343 Industries displayed a brand new game to be added to the series next year with the Xbox One. However, the game’s trailer was very cryptic.
There has been a lot of curiosity about whether or not it was Halo 5 or a side story like Halo 3:ODST. Well, it turns out that Microsoft took the original trailer and finally updated it, so now after Masterchief looks down at the chip that once contained Cortana, the screen changes and confirms the full title as it displays ‘Halo 5’. Many people had already anticipated this, but until the number 5 was stuck onto the end of it, no one could say it was the next in the series with certainty.
Now that it is official, and we all know it will be releasing next year exclusively for the Xbox One, the question needs to be asked; will it be better than Halo 4? Fans of the series were somewhat disappointed in campaign of the first game in the new saga, and supposedly 343 Industries has acknowledged the shortcomings and anticlimactic gameplay with plans of improvement for the next title, which we now know as Halo 5.
Judging by the trailer, and the effort put forward by the developers to reinsure its fan base, there should be hope for an amazing follow through.
