The third season of “American Horror Story” is only a month away from returning to FX.
This year, the show has been rebranded as “American Horror Story: Coven,” as the returning cast members will portray brand new characters in a story set in the present and during the 1830s.
FX has released a new promo video for “American Horror Story: Coven,” which offers up a first glimpse of Sarah Paulson as Cordelia as she oversees the arrival of newly recruited witches, played by Gabourey Sidibe, Emma Roberts and Taissa Farmiga.
To cap everything off, there is a dramatic reveal of the three witches at the heart of this year’s storyline: Fiona (Jessica Lange), Delphine LaLaurie (Kathy Bates) and Marie Laveau (Angela Bassett), all set to a creepy cover of The Animal’s The House of The Rising Sun.
Frances Conroy, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Alexandra Breckenridge and Denis O’Hare will also return to “American Horror Story” with new roles in “Coven.” New additions to this season’s cast include Jamie Brewer, Danny Huston, Leslie Jordan, Jennifer Lynn Warren, Lucy Faust and Alexander Dreymon.
