We’ve been seeing the trailers for The Wolf of Wall Street for months. The excess. The greed. Signature elements of Martin Scorsese storytelling are all there. But he may not be ready just yet to show you his film.
Crave’s CinemaBlend website reported Wednesday the film may not make it to theaters in 2013. CinemaBlend says the current cut of the film stands at over 3 hours with plenty of editing left to be done — and with just six weeks until its announced Nov. 15 release, it’s likely to not only miss that date, but potentially, Christmas as well.
The Wolf of Wall Street stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin and Kyle Chandler.
