A new crime drama will be debuting on FX Canada – “The Tunnel,” starring Stephen Dillane (“Game of Thrones”) and Clémence Poésy (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II”), is based on the Danish/Swedish crime series “Bron” that also inspired another FX Canada hit, “The Bridge.”
The show centres around detectives Karl Roebuck (played by Dillane) and Elise Wassermann (Poésy), who are sent to investigate the circumstances surrounding a French politician found dead on the U.K./France border, but the case takes a surreal turn when a shocking discovery is made at the crime scene, forcing the French and British police into an uneasy partnership. As the serial killer uses evermore elaborate and ingenious methods to highlight the moral bankruptcy of modern society, Roebuck and Wassermann are drawn deeper into his increasingly personal agenda.
“The Tunnel” premieres on January 7th at 10pm.
