The hit CBC show “Republic of Doyle” will be airing a crossover episode with “Murdoch Mysteries'” star Yannick Bisson – it will air on January 29th.
Following the success of “Murdoch Mysteries'” crossover guest starring Allan Hawco as Jake Doyle’s great-great-grandfather, Bisson will step out of the early 1900s to portray modern-day police officer, Bill Murdoch. In the “If The Shoe Fits” episode, when Des (Mark O’Brien) buys the contents of an unclaimed storage locker, he can only imagine the possibilities of what’s inside – but what he and Jake actually find there neither could have dreamed up. Jake (Hawco) and Des cross paths with Toronto cop Bill Murdoch (Yannick Bisson) on a strange kidnapping case, but Jake’s not sure this mainland officer is telling them the whole truth. Sloan’s (Lola Tash) bid to make some money doesn’t go as planned and the consequences could prove costly; Leslie (Krystin Pellerin) shoulders the weight of new responsibility; Mal (Sean McGinley) avoids unwanted family obligations and Des goes to new lengths in a tricky situation.
