Canada To Play Host To A Number Of Upcoming UFC Events

The UFC has announced fights scheduled to take place in Canadian cities like Quebec City, Vancouver, Toronto, Halifax and Montreal, it was announced from a Quebec City press conference on Wednesday.

Quebec is the only province who is getting two events – the Colisee Pepsi in Quebec City will host The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia on April 16th and UFC 181 will take place at Montreal’s Bell Centre in December. Vancouver will get UFC 174 on June 14th at Rogers Arena, the Air Canada Centre in Toronto will get UFC 178 on September 27th, and Halifax will play host to its first live event with UFC Fight Night on October 4th.

“On a per-capita basis, Canada is the most consuming nation in the world in terms of our sport,” UFC Canada director of operations Tom Wright said (QMI Agency). “We’re very confident about the big pay-per-views and we’ve also wanted to make sure we took our sport into as many communities as possible that haven’t had a chance to be part of the UFC.”
