Dallas forward Rich Peverley collapsed on the bench Monday night during the Blue Jackets-Stars game. The scary moment had the entire crowd at American Airlines Center at a stand-still for nearly 10 minutes and led to the postponement of the game.
Peverley missed the preseason and a game last week due to a heart condition. As you can see in the video below, he was rushed from the bench following his collapse midway through the first period.
Stars coach Lindy Ruff announced Peverley would be alright. However, in the video below doctors talk about how they “treated Peverley for a cardiac event,” and that he “regained consciousness upont treatment.” Sounds like a full-blown resuscitation following cardiac arrest. Scary stuff.
This was the last update of the evening from the Dallas Stars via Twitter:

According to Deadspin, Peverley asked Ruff how much time was left in the period and according to a doctor was ready to go back into the game following his resuscitation.
