First Look: Daredevil #1.5 – 50 Years of DD

Daredevil turns 50 this year, and fresh after the new San Francisco relocation, it’s time to look back on where the Man Without Fear has been with a special Daredevil #1.50 issue. Current writer Mark Waid is teaming up with former writers Brian Michael Bendis and Karl Kesel to craft a special story set in the future – Matt Murdock’s 50th birthday. Still living in SF, Matt is forced out of his retirement from the vigilante world by a tragedy, and we’ll see what the future holds for him in more ways than one.

“We’re celebrating the Man Without Fear’s 50th anniversary not by looking back, but by looking forward,” says Waid. “With a special story set in the future, on Matt Murdock’s 50th birthday, peppered with clues for sharp-eyed readers as to what the rest of 2014 will hold for Daredevil!”

Check out this cool cover from Paolo Rivera, the variant from Chris Samnee, a slew of cool 50-Year special covers from Marcos Martin, and interior art from Kesel, Javier Rodriguez and Alex Maleev.
